Fall colors, flannel and the softest fog met us at Whidbey Golf Club for Shelbey and Josh’s wedding day. This couple was married on the island where they first met, fell in love, and where Josh works to protect the place they call home as a firefighter.
Everything about this couple & the love they share warms the heart. This groom proposed to his bride after taking her to the property he’d purchased for them to build a home on. When I asked what they love most about each other, the first thing Shelbey and Josh said was the other’s caring nature.
Here are a some of my favorite things from this lovely fall day:
• The couple decided to wait to first see each other as they walked down the aisle, but the bride still held a first look…with her parents 🙂
• Aside from the wedding cake, they had a donut dessert bar!
• This day was full of heirlooms, from a cake knife the bride’s parents & grandparents used on their wedding days to the very same wine barrel altar the bride’s sister had at her wedding!
• I’ve had the happy chance of photographing two weddings in this family, both were more heartfelt & beautiful than I could have dreamed!
In-between moments make up the fabric of a wedding day, and it’s our job to capture them authentically . Your families become woven as all you love gathers together. And we want you to treasure your day as if it’s tomorrow. In-between moments make up the fabric of a wedding day, and it’s our job to capture them authentically .
