When Home Is A Feeling

Home has always been a feeling. But with a place we’ve built from the ground up almost ready, so are we for a true change in moving pace.
This time two weeks ago the hubby & I were packing up the last box in our rental north of Seattle, and two weeks from today we’ll be unpacking it at our new home south of the city! Living in-between these past weeks has been a time of wild anticipation and gratitude for those who opened their homes to us. Thankful for fur babies that travel well and a car that can carry an office! Storage living has offered simplicity and challenges; here’s what I’ve learned along the way:
-Say yes to buying baskets to crate your home office supplies in and out of the day’s work space. They’ll create order out of potential chaos!
-Even if it feels tidy, don’t pack up everything in moving boxes…because diving head first into that sea of boxes to find a single item is crazy!
-Make “flex time” in your day where to-do’s can happen or be added to a different day’s agenda. These past couple weeks of more simple living have had me taking each day and its opportunities as they come.
